ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
October 13-17, 2015 will mark the 8th annual Nova Scotia Fibre Arts Festival. This award winning festival features exciting and creative workshops, stunning exhibits, hands-on demonstrations, and some of the region’s most beautiful fibre work.
The Nova Scotia Fibre Arts Festival was born from a grassroots, community interest in fibre art and has grown over the past seven years to be the destination event in Eastern Canada for fibre artists, instructors and enthusiastic participants.
Each year sees a fresh variety of innovative courses and introduces more events and exhibits to show off local and regional talent. Support for the Festival continues to grow from within the community, which has allowed us to add better quality events. Every year sees more participants and visitors to the festival.
The Nova Scotia Fibre Arts Festival is a five day celebration of all things fibre: knitting, quilting, rug hooking, felting, weaving, crocheting and so much more. The Fibre Arts Festival embraces all natural fibres and whether you’re an experienced fibre artist, enthusiastic novice, or just appreciate fine quality arts and handwork, you’ll find something to enjoy among the wide range of activities and opportunities the Festival offers.
